Mike: "I like to think of myself as traveller who writes, rather than a travel writer. Motorbike, 4x4, public transport, no transport – it’s all the same, as long as it takes me to new horizons. Cape to Cairo, around South America, Route 66 in the States, Europe and China have all beckoned me in the past, but being a born Capetonian, I always return to appreciate the beauty of the Cape."
